OLD NEWS AND THINGS....

 

 

August / September 2007

>Exhibitions finished for a few weeks, so will get back to making work on MoonFollowedMe, and my MidiTron sensor interface has arrived and I want to play around with that

>Have been invited to show work at 2 exhibitions in September

Hybrid Project 7, Sept 07, at The Melange Social Club, 281 Kingsland Road - making a new installation called The Sky Will Fall Down.

Exhibition, 17-20 Sept 2007, Royal Academy Of Arts, London, showing 30Birds Singing In A Tree

And "Va De Vaques", is to be shown again in Spain, 8th November.
>Working on Moon Followed Me. The project software is being re-written,and has been redesigned and is much improved. Now using CoreImage for the animation techniques. The whole software architecture is in place, including the sound spatialization stuff and the multiple computer communication thing, as it runs on 4 networked laptops.

>Cellular Grid Machine is mentioned in the journal of Digital Creativity...here, , copy of artifcle can be found here, and is referenced by the Museum Of Music (here) . Was doing some google searches.

>due to popular demand, Deathcode is considering reforming and doing some more performances. But we are concerned about the impact it has on other sonic artists, as they tend suffer a tremendous loss of confidence after hearing us perform.

>>DA! recently occupied a new space in Knightsbridge and will be having a Private View for the new exhibition entitled Environments on July 19th, 6-10pm. I will be showing new work called Water Me, I Dont Want To Die, and Water Me, I Want To Die. Two related pieces that is continuing my explorations of the notions of dissappearing boundaries of the natural and the artificial, and the human condition.

>>Just returned from Spain. Where me and Kafiye did the projections for the dance performance, "Va De Vaques", directed by Emma Teixidor which was performed in Girona at the Centre Cultural la Mercè.
