| Water Me, I Dont Want To Die - 2007 | ||

Materials: Table, earth, artificial flower, jug of urine. Exploring the disappearing boundaries of the natural and the artificial. A very realistic artificial flower is begging to be watered, as it doesn’t want to die. The jug contains human urine, the waste product of actual human metabolism and human life, which if given to a real flower would kill it. However, it has no effect on this artificial flower, as it is not alive, only having the visual illusion of being alive and real. It does not have properties such as self-organisation, autonomy, growth, development, adaptation, responsiveness and metabolism.
